  Growing up in a third world country, as a young Iranian, I’ve seen many of friends leaving the country to live the Western Dream. To be honest, I wished I could do that too, but compulsory military service and other problems didn’t let me to. So I stayed.
  I had to find something beautiful in Tehran, in this overgrowing metropolis which everyone was running from. I watched it closely and searched. And at last I did it. I found something to love in it. I found majesty in this polluted mixture of orientality and modernity. At First it was like the old Persian story, a prisoner falling in love with his prison, but now I want the world to Come and See it.
  This is the story of my adaption. This is the story of how It Began To Grow On me.

  In this Project we covered a great number of locations. Shot within six months of photography, and Twenty-five thousand frames, we are honored to present you a sneak peak of how the majestic city of Tehran ( actually ) looks like today.

  بعنوان جوانی ایرانی که در جهان سوم بزرگ شده‌ دوستان زیادی‌م رو دیده‌ام که کشور رو ترک میکنند که اون رویای غربی رو زندگی کنند. راستش رو بخواید، دلم میخواست من هم همینکارو کنم؛ اما خدمت اجباری سربازی و یه سری مشکل دیگه بهم اجازه نداد. اینه که من موندم.
  باید یه چیز قشنگی تو تهران پیدا میکردم، تو این کلانشهر گنده که همه ازش فرار میکردند. خوب نگاه کردم و گشتم. در نهایت موفق شدم؛ در نهایت یه چیزی توش پیدا کردم که دوستش داشته باشم. تو این ملغمه‌ی شرقی بودن و مدرنیته شکوه رو پیدا کردم. اول مثل اون قصه قدیمی ایرانی بود؛ یه زندانی که عاشق زندانش میشه؛ ولی الان دلم میخواد همه دنیا بیاد و ببیندش.
  این داستان وفق داده شدن منه. این داستان اینه که چجوری «کم‌کم ازش خوشم اومد.»

  تو این پروژه ما جاهای زیادی رفتیم. شیش ماه عکاسی کردیم و بیست‌وپنج هزار فریم گرفتیم. مفتخریم که بهتون این ویدیو رو نشون بدیم از تهران بزرگ بشکلی که امروز دیده میشه.

  Frida Frida Frida

  I always admired Frida Kahlo, but I am recently obsessed with her beauty, courage and talent since I actually watched the movie of her life story very recently.
  She was such a strong person, oh my god.
  She had an accident when she was young and basically sufferd all of her life but never complained about it. She just wanted to live and do what she loved without any goals of success. She was gifted and humble and wanted critics about her work, not compliments, just so she could be better. She also had a horrible husband that she loved more than everything and that destroyed her heart so many times but she never gave up and was herself since the beginning. I won’t spoil you everything, but it is such an amazing story!
  If you admire Frida Kahlo too, take time to watch this movie (named “Frida”) and actually know her better because she was truly amazing. (Also it’s aesthetically perfect, I cried for the whole thing).
